CCU Parent support - Some Assembly Required was founded by parents of children with severe congenital heart defects (CHDs) who have spent time with their children at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. As parents who have been in an out of the hospital, we saw firsthand how important it was for families to stay connected as much as possible. However, the reality is many parents need to come and go from the hospital to maintain jobs, care for other children at home, and take care of themselves. Parking fees should never separate a child from a loved one. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to help our cause.
